What SEGCG stands for

SEGCG is a Nordic, multidisciplinary network focused on improving the care of patients with esophageal and gastric cancer through collaboration, research, and knowledge sharing. SEGCG is a collaborative platform—not a formal society, but a working network where clinicians and researchers actively contribute. Participation is open and flexible; members can engage in meetings, research projects, discussions, or educational activities depending on their interests and availability.

Our Scientific Work

SEGCG focuses on clinically relevant research in esophageal and gastric cancer, including Nordic multicenter studies, prospective clinical trials, high-quality retrospective analyses, and translational research with direct impact on patient care. We support the development of multicenter studies, real-world data projects, and joint publications. Our meetings are central to our work—we organize regular scientific meetings where members present cases, share results, and develop new ideas.

Membership benefits

SEGCG connects you to a unique Nordic network where clinical practice, research, and collaboration come together—with a shared goal of improving outcomes for patients with esophageal and gastric cancer. While we have a strong Nordic focus, we maintain an international outlook: rooted in Scandinavia, we aim to contribute to and collaborate with the broader global research community.
